Robert Eugene Winfield is a legendary American custom car builder, painter, designer, and dry lakes racer. His shop, Winfield Customs, is located in Mojave, California. At the age of 94, Gene is still touring all over the world, chopping cars and laying down his signature fadeaway paint jobs.

Gene Winfield Reactor
The Reactor is a custom car built by Gene Winfield. The low-slung vehicle featured height-adjustable suspension, front-wheel drive, and a powerful engine. It appeared in episodes of three TV series: Bewitched (which had an episode written around it), Star Trek, and Batman.
Gene Winfield Strip Star
The Strip Star is a show and competition race car built by Gene Winfield of Winfield’s Custom Shop for the Promotions Inc Show Car Division in 1963. The Strip Star featured an asymmetrically offset hand-formed aluminum body mounted on a modified 1948 Ford chassis.
The 6000 SUX from the cult classic 1987 film RoboCop is based on a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme built by Gene Winfield.
