Cannonball Record 2020 25 Hours 39 Minutes NYC to LA

Drivers have been taking advantage of diminished highway traffic — a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic — to set new Cannonball records.

The newest record-setting run was done by Arne Toman and Doug Tabbutt in a modified Audi S6.

The daring duo claims a moving average speed of 112 mph (110 mph including fuel stops) and a top speed of 175 mph.

They say they were never stopped by police, thanks in part to a network of scouts coordinating with them.

They built a car that’s INVISIBLE to cops in 3 days!

Modifications to the Audi include a 45-gallon trunk-mounted fuel cell, but also visual changes — they reshaped the front grille with a decoy badge to make the Audi resemble a Ford Taurus-based Police Interceptor when viewed from a distance.
