How To Do An Engine Makeover In Your Driveway

You’ve got a driver, but it’s engine compartment is the dumps. Sometimes, all a Small Block Chevrolet needs is a little TLC in the form of a tune up and a clean up — a freshly painted and installed engine, with fresh valve covers, intake, air cleaner, etc.

There are a several ways to go about it, but this engine compartment makeover was done mostly with rattle cans and powder coated parts and turned out quite nicely — and in keeping with the timeless theme of Pop’s classic Chevrolet C-10 truck, we color match and dress up the engine with Hedman Headers and Trans Dapt parts as well as a new carburetor and other goodies from Edelbrock.
