During Iron trap Garage‘s build of this ’34 Ford, Matt located and contacted Barry Skelly, the man who had originally hot-rodded the car. This fine 1934 Ford Tudor that was purchased from the Larry Schroll Estate Auction.

Barry Skelly had modified the car in the 1960s and it was his pride and joy. But as many automobile stories go, due to an expanding family, he was forced to sell the car, and never he saw it again.

Once Matt located Barry’s whereabouts, he’s been working hard through the summer to get the car back on the road and had planned to meet up with Barry. Unfortunately, Barry passed on August 11, 2020 — he was never able to see the car fully restored to its former glory.

Barry’s son and daughter are at the garage to take a look at their Dad’s long lost hot rod. Neither of them has ever seen the car, so we can’t wait to see and hear their reaction…
