Auto Revolution and Brothers Trucks are diving into a pair of classic Chevrolet truck projects (Jason’s Squarebody and Marcel’s 67-72 C-10) built in two different styles and on two different budgets.
Part 1 – Longbed to Shortbed Conversion
Published on Apr 4, 2017
“We gotta start at the same length and on the same level…” But first, we must shorten a long bed down to size…
Part 2 – Air Suspension
Published on Jun 8, 2018
With Marcel’s C-10 converted from longbed to shortbed; its time to head up to Choppin’ Block/CB Chassis Products and drop the Squarebody off for air suspension.
Part 3 – Lowered Suspension
Published on Oct 27, 2018
With Jason’s square body air suspension underway, Marcel goes old school with a 5/7 drop kit and disc brake conversion from Performance Online as well as bolt-in rack and pinion power steering from Flaming River.
A set of anti-sway bars and a C-10 crate rear-end from Currie Enterprises top off the classic 15-inch wheels and meaty tires.
Part 4 – Metal Magic
Published on Apr 26, 2019
Cutting metal of a different kind, we head over to Hot Rods by Boyd for a set of custom, Cerakoted 22-inch billet wheels to match the modernized styling on Jason’s Squarebody truck.
Part 5 – LS vs SBC
Published on Nov 3, 2019
Now for the time-old debate of LS Swap vs Small Block Chevy engine. Keep it classic or make it modern? We put a Blueprint Engines crate 383 up to a junkyard 5.3L machined and rebuilt with performance parts. Style-wise, it is an old school hot rod versus retro-modern.
