1972 Ford Gran Torino Big Block RestoMod Project

This 1972 Ford Gran Torino has been rebuilt as a period-era hot rod by Ron Earp, who looked at how it would have been upgraded in the ’70s. This was a frame-off restoration.

The engine has been upgraded from a 351 to a Ford 385 series 460 cubic-inch big-block. Displacement was increased to 521 cubic-inches or 8.4 liters.

The engine includes Eagle forged crank and rods, Wisco custom forged pistons, aluminum Super Cobra Jet heads with Kasse mods, solid flat tappet Lunati cam, Lunati solid lifters, Pro Systems billet carb, and many other upgrades…
