Which Impact Driver Socket Adapter is Best?

Project Farm tests 18 Brands of Socket Adapters to find out which one is the best:

  • Milwaukee,
  • Dewalt,
  • Makita Gold,
  • Makita,
  • Ryobi,
  • Hart,
  • ARES,
  • Neiko,
  • Irwin,
  • TEMO,
  • Bosch,
  • Performax,
  • Torquesmith,
  • Hercules,
  • Hyper Tough,
  • Warrior,
  • Bauer, and
  • Masterforce.

In the first test, socket adapters are tested for maximum strength until failure.

In the second test, socket adapters are used on an impact wrench and maximum clamp load force is measured.

Do socket adapters with “impact zones” perform better than those without impact zones? Do socket adapters with longer impact zones reduce the “impact” force that’s delivered to the fastener?
