These replica swamp coolers are just what you need to give your ride that vintage look.

Doerfler Designs originally crafted this swamp cooler for his own ride, a Corvair.

He received so many compliments, he was prompted to make more for those who didn’t want to pay the big bucks for an original one.

These are newly made replicas that act as a blower — there are no internals and you do not add water to them (although, some customers have modified them with functional internal parts).

It is functional as a blower, and it really moves a lot of air into the car. You can also add ice to the cooler by simply putting ice packs through the window slot.

This swamp cooler is professionally made by Doerfler Designs using precision machined parts. It is constructed from solid 3/8″ thick industrial-grade plastic. It is very heavy duty and weighs 8 lbs (less than the dry weight of an original swamp cooler).

The unit is ready for and very easy to paint; all that is required is fine sanding to clean and prep the surface then apply your choice of paint.

The grill is removable so you can paint the inside black which helps hide the lack of internal parts.

It will mount nice and snug. There won’t be any rattles or vibrations even at highway speeds.
