Matt shows you how to build new truck bed as he completely fabricates it from the ground-up for his 1950 Dodge Pickup.
Project Pilehouse not only gets a new bed, but also new fenders. There’s a ton of fabrication as he makes the bed sides match the appearance of the truck.
Matt, with the help of Mark from our Research and Development Department, cuts the sheet metal to the proper shape, rolls beads in the bed sides for strength and appearance, adds a top rail tube, builds a rear roll pan and attaches new fenders – all using Eastwood Products like MIG and TIG welders, bead roller with the new bead roller guide, snips, shears, shrinkers and stretchers and more.
Matt’s an Eastwood Guy, are You?
Eastwood has everything you need to do the job right when you’re restoring your car truck or motorcycle – welders, plasma cutters, paint and paint guns, soda and abrasive blasters, hand tools, metal fab tools, rust solutions, powder coating supplies, specialty tools and more. Since 1978.
