Air and Fuel Delivery for Different Applications

For this piece of tech, Mike and Pat are joined by Summit Racing’s KB Racing driver, Jason Line, to talk about air and fuel delivery on everything from street machines to the fastest naturally-aspirated race cars he drives down the track.

Carburetors have come a long way. You can now buy street carburetors with C&C billet metering blocks all the way up through full-on race dominators. And that technology transfers down to parts you buy from Summit for your own vehicles.

Ten years ago, you would have to buy a box carburetor and send it out to get it to perform right. But the companies that manufacture them have become better at getting creating a correct calibration right out of the box. It’s also easier to make power with bolt-on parts than it has been in the past…
