Evolution of a RestoMod 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible

The evolution of YouTuber Smitten in the Mitten‘s RestoMod 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible was inherited in 2007 and started to work. The goal was for it to be a safe and reliable family cruiser.

He rebuilt the engine bumping it from 455 cubic inches to 469, and he bolted a TH700R4 automatic transmission to it.

A previous owner installed a 12 bolt Chevy rear axle. In 2015, he sold his Camaro to fund body and paint on the Firebird. It went from gold to matte black. He replaced all body metal and rockers except the trunk lid and doors.

More recently, he installed heat extractor vents on the hood. It has a 67 Camaro rear bumper, custom grille, a Spoiler by Randy front spoiler, hidden front turn signals, and Easy Performance taillights.

He’s put in 2001 Camaro front seats with houndstooth covers and covered the rear bench seat with houndstooth. It has a hidden sound system and Magnaflow exhaust. The car is fitted with tubular control arms, quick ratio power steering, power disc brakes, and so many other features…
