Imagine being able to repair anything made of Aluminum, Pot Metal and Galvanized Steel using a simple propane torch. No flux! No special training.
Time needed: 10 minutes
Join aluminum, pot metal and galvanized steel with Alumaloy in just three easy steps…
Clean the base metal using anything from a wire brush, file, sandpaper, grinder, etc. No Flux needed!
Heat the base metal using anything from propane on up. Do not heat the Alumaloy rod. Remember the heavier the item the longer it takes to reach 728° F.
As soon as the base metal reaches 728° F the Alumaloy rod will flow. Back off with the heat and make your repair.
Alumaloy melts at 728° Fahrenheit giving you the ability to repair the thinnest to the thickest metals without worrying about warpage or distortion. Alumaloy even repairs pot metal — one of the most difficult non ferrous metals in the world to repair. Perfect for classic car trim and emblem repair projects.
You can repair boats, props, storm doors, ladders, antiques, tools, outboards, motors, lawn furniture, transmissions, cylinder heads, thermostats, radiators, air conditioning lines, condensers, oil pans, motorcycles, bell housings, RV parts, gutters, pontoons, molds, rims and so much more.
Alumaloy is specially formulated to make strong permanent repairs that can last a lifetime. Unlike other specialty repair rods, Alumaloy contains no lead, no tin, and no cadmium.
Alumaloy is a welcome addition to any tool box and 100% guaranteed to work for you. Each rod is approximately 1/8″ x 18″ long.
