TMZ reports that Kevin Hart and the other two survivors are lawyering up for what is expected to be “a big lawsuit.”
Sources say the comedian/actor might be at fault because his classic 1970 Plymouth Barracuda had no airbags or safety harnesses when it plunged off Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, California, earlier this month.
The driver — reportedly Kevin’s pal Jared Black, who suffered major chest and back injuries — might also be at fault pending the outcome of a California Highway Patrol probe into the crash.
The shop that built Hart’s car, may also be on the hook for allowing the custom job to go through, reported TMZ, which said a negligence claim could be rooted in the shop’s decision to go ahead with the job despite the lack of modern safeguards in the powerful, 720 horsepower engine vehicle.
